I have just bought a new set of macro filters and this is my first attempt at using them. I’ve always preferred close up photos as it forces you to see something for what it really is. Sometimes we ignore the detail and cannot see the wood through the trees. We’ll see a rose but ignore its petals, a robin and ignore its feather or a tree and look past the leaves.
For those interested I got the filters for just £14.99 from Amazon. It’s a great way to try out macro photography without paying hundreds, if not thousands of pounds for a macro lens.
